The very first painting I ever saw for van got was The Bedroom, it was printed on a hoodie. It somehow caught my eyes, I loved the painting; I loved its simplicity and its deeper meaning; I have done further researches and found out it is painted by Vincent van Gogh, I discovered the most well-known painting The Starry Night is his.
I followed the official page of the Van Gogh Museum on Instagram, and I fell in love. His paintings and his letters to his brother resonated a lot with me.
My love for Vincent Van Gogh paintings grew every day, but there are some of them that caught my heart in a way I could never explain more than the others.
My Favorite paintings were not favorable based on studying or research the purpose of them but they are favored based on how they made me feel when I first looked at them, my interpretation for each painting could differ from what the painting is actually about.
I won’t explain under each painting the reasons why I loved them because:
A. These feelings are hard to put into words.
B. I don’t want the readers to confuse my interpretation with the original one.
C. I want the reader to come up with their own feeling towards the painting.
So without further ado, here are my favorite paintings for Vincent Van Gogh.
1. At Eternity’s Gate

2. Seascape near Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer

3. The Bedroom

4. Ravine with a Small Stream

5. Pollard Willow

6. Wheatfield under Thunderclouds

7. Still life with a plate of onions

The Letter, OMG…
8. Reminiscence of Brabant
Why this painting screams quarantine? oh I said I would never write my interpretation, Pardon!

9. Farmhouse in a Wheatfield

10. The Yellow House (The Street)

Conclusion
I am up to discover more art and more artist, but for now, Vincent Van Gogh paintings have captured my heart with his simplicity, his color choices, and the different subjects.

November 19, 2020 at 4:20 pmI love Van Gogh too. There is an exhibition in Winnipeg I would love to see but sadly the border is closed at the moment. Your list is beautiful, I have a few more I would add but I don’t know which ones to take away haha.
